Installing Foliage Wires in a Vineyard and Tensioning Short Rows

Farm Learning with Tim Thompson | 19 December 2020 | Back to All Videos
This week sees me back in my little vineyard installing Foliage Wires and tensioning short rows so that I can have slack wires in winter allowing pruning and tension them up in spring to hold the foliage wire up nice and straight. Good canopy management is essential if you are to grow good quality fruit for winemaking. I demonstrate three options for foliage clips and two different methods to routinely adjust the tension in short row wires.
See my website https://timthompson.ag/ for more detail on good canopy management.
